Contact Scraper

Turn a list of company websites into a structured contact spreadsheet. CrawlHawk visits each site's public pages and collects the business contact details published there — company name, address, phone, email, VAT and EORI numbers, plus named people with their role and contact info — every entry traceable to the page it came from. Paste a domain list or upload one, and get a clean CSV or XLSX ready for your CRM.

What the Contact Scraper Does

You give it websites; it reads the pages a visitor would read — the imprint, the contact page, the about and team pages — and extracts the contact information companies publish about themselves. For each domain you get a structured record: company details (name, full address, phone, email, homepage, VAT and EORI where shown) and the people listed on the site (name, role as written, and their own email or phone where the page provides it). Output is one clean row per contact point, deduplicated, with the source URL recorded for every field — so every piece of data is verifiable against the public page it came from.

Built for Lists, Not One Site at a Time

The Contact Scraper is a batch tool. Paste a list of domains, or upload one as CSV, TXT, Excel or JSON — CrawlHawk pulls the domains from any column, de-duplicates them, and processes the whole list in one run. A supplier directory export, a trade-show exhibitor list, a scraped prospect pool: feed it the domains and get back a single spreadsheet. See Pricing for how credits scale with list size.

What Data Is Extracted

Per company: name, street, postal code, city, country, phone, general email, homepage, VAT number, EORI number. Per person found on the site: first and last name, role or position exactly as written, personal email and phone where published, and — where inferable from the name — a gender field for salutation. Every record carries the source URL. Fields that a site doesn't publish are simply left empty; CrawlHawk does not guess or invent contact data (every extracted email is verified against the actual page content before it's included).

Common Use Cases

Supplier and partner discovery: turn a list of candidate companies into a contact sheet for outreach. B2B prospecting: build outreach-ready records from companies' own public websites. Directory and exhibitor lists: a trade-show or industry directory gives you domains — the Contact Scraper gives you the contacts behind them. CRM hygiene: refresh addresses, phone numbers and role changes from companies' current sites. Market research: map who's who across a set of companies in one pass.

Accuracy and Honest Limits

The scraper reads what's on the page. If a company doesn't publish an email, there won't be one in the output — no address is fabricated to fill a gap. On sites with contact details behind a login or a form-only contact page, only what's publicly visible is captured. Role titles are kept exactly as the site writes them (not mapped to a fixed list), so "Head of Procurement" stays "Head of Procurement". Because extraction reads the page like a human, unusual layouts can occasionally misplace a field — for outreach at scale this is rarely material, but for high-stakes use, spot-check the output.

Credits and the Free Tier

Contact extraction requires browser rendering and AI reading of each site, so it runs as a credit feature — the exact cost is shown before the crawl starts, and scales with the number of domains in your list. The free tier covers standard single-domain crawling only; multi-domain contact runs need a credit pack. Credits are pay-once and never expire, so a pack bought for one prospecting project is still there for the next. See Pricing.

Responsible Use and Your Legal Basis

CrawlHawk extracts only contact information that companies publish publicly on their own websites — the same details any visitor can see. It does not access private data, bypass logins, or collect anything behind authentication. That said, business contact data can still be personal data under the GDPR, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis for collecting and using it — which is why every contact run requires you to confirm that basis before it starts, and why every record is traceable to its public source. Use it for legitimate business purposes, respect opt-outs and applicable marketing law, and see the Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy for the full framework.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I scrape contact details from a list of websites?

Paste your domains into the tool above, or upload a list (CSV, TXT, Excel, JSON). Confirm your lawful basis, then run — CrawlHawk visits each site's public contact pages and returns a structured CSV or XLSX with the company and people it found.

What contact fields does it extract?

Company name, address, phone, email, homepage, VAT and EORI; and per person, name, role, personal email and phone where published — each with the source URL.

Does it invent or guess email addresses?

No. Every extracted email is verified against the actual page content before it's included. If a site doesn't publish an email, the field stays empty — no pattern-guessed addresses.

Is scraping contact details legal?

CrawlHawk only collects publicly published business contact data. Whether your use is lawful depends on your purpose and jurisdiction — business contact data can be personal data under the GDPR, so you must have a lawful basis, which the tool asks you to confirm before each run. See the Acceptable Use Policy for the rules that apply.

Can it get contacts behind a contact form or login?

No — only publicly visible details are captured. Form-only or login-gated contacts are not accessed.

How much does it cost?

It's a credit feature priced per processed domain, with the total shown before the run starts. The free tier doesn't cover multi-domain contact runs; credits never expire.

What formats can I upload my list in?

CSV, TXT, Excel (.xlsx/.xls) and JSON. CrawlHawk finds the domains in any column and removes duplicates automatically.
